Homework Coaching at the Library

Free homework assistance is available on a first come-first serve basis at the Main library and the West End branch from 3:30 to 5:00 Monday -Thursday. The homework coaching is available in all subject areas and is provided by High School students for children in grades K- 5. Reservations are not necessary.

Free Online Tutoring

Online tutoring for students in grades K-12 (library card required) via “Tutor.com.”

Online Live Homework Help is available everyday on the Alameda Free Library's website for students in grades K-12 from 1 pm-10 pm. This online service connects students with qualified, experienced tutors, via the Internet. Students and tutors can engage one-on-one in a controlled chat session, work on an interactive white board, share educational Web sites and even send files back and forth. The tutors are available in every subject--math, general science, social studies, and English homework assignments.

Live Homework Help is available seven days a week from 1:00 to 10 p.m. in English, Spanish and Vietnamese; and the online Skills Resource Center is available 24/7.
